I was born and raised in the South. Not the Metro South (Atlanta or Houston) but the country! Uncles leaving at the crack of dawn for hunt for deer (and come back empty handed), family was considered whoever in the community that decided to stop by, and where you would have to sneak a snack somewhere because you were starving. Thanksgiving dinner was suppose to start at 2pm but didn’t kick off dinner until after 4pm…or more like 5pm because everyone in the prayer circle has to say what they are thankful for). Do me and your guests a favor and whip up a couple of these easy appetizers to alleviate your hunger until dinner is ready.
