Not The Best Chef? 12 Easy Flavorful Dishes To Bring To The Thanksgiving Table
Until a few years ago, the only thing I brought to Thanksgiving was an appetite and my personal Tupperware container (my Grandmother keeps her Tupperware under lock and key!). However, I realized I couldn’t get away with it for too long – I was now bringing a plus one with the hubby joining me and my family for the holidays. I decided it was time to help partake in bringing something. It’s a tradition that my Grandmother cooks the meats and everyone else is responsible for the side dishes and desserts with those that can’t cook bringing beverages and dinnerware. I had been cooking for me and hubby and felt it was time to graduate from beverage carrier to side dishes and even desserts. It was nerve wrecking initially. I come from a no recipe needed, make from scratch, jiffy cornbread who? type of family. I, on the other hand, am completely lost with something to guide me and when the recipe calls for 1 ½ cup, I need an accurate measure (blame the O.C.D in me). Over the last few years, I’ve been able to find some easy dishes full of flavor than can be easily replicated. I felt it was my duty to other kitchen intimidated people to share my treasure box finds. Enjoy!
