6 FAVE Sunscreens for Dark Skin Tones
I can admit I was once that person. I didn't think that I needed sunscreen to 'protect my skin'. My one and only reason for wearing sunscreen was I didn't want to get a tan. I was happy with my skin tone and didn't feel like buying new makeup for my skin for the next 2 weeks while my skin adjusted to my normal skin tone. Even then, I only wore sunscreen while on vacation or when I knew I was going to be outside for most of the day. Wearing sunscreen 365 days? 365 days a year? Who does that!!
It wasn't until I began seeing a dermatologist that I began to see the error of my ways. I realized sunscreen was needed everyday irregardless of sun exposure. The only caveat is finding sunscreen that doesn't leave a ghostly shadow on our darker skin tone. Several makeup brands have created all inclusive makeup and foundation to include all races and skin types but the same can't be said for sunscreen. After trial and error, I've found a few that I love and felt the need to share:

This is my fave sunscreen for application to the face. Though it's a sunscreen, it's goes on as a primer and gives your face a nice matte finish to prep you skin for flawless makeup application.
Bolden SPF 30 Brightening Moisturizer
Also black owned, this sunscreen includes ingredients like Vitamin C to help brighten your skin while also protected from the sun's rays.
Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield Broad Spectrum SPF 30
This is also a sunscreen that does double duty. It helps protect your skin but also reduces the appearance of pores
Glossier Invisible Shield SPF 35
There's not much that Glossier can do that I don't love. What started as my love for bow brow had evolved into all things Glossier. This formula is very similar to Supergoop but half the price
